The market is very clean and upscale and we were excited when we first entered. However, all of the vendors are excessively expensive and it is kind of a "tourist trap." But I wanted to write this review to warn everyone of the fruit vendors,...More

Municipal Market of the city of São Paulo. Neo Classic architecture restored. The most diverse products: from fish, fruits, imported, grains, beverages, dairy products, cheeses, sweets etc. Interesting place to walk around and get to know the traditional bread sandwich with bologna and cheese.

It’s a trap for tourist, that usually get exploited. It’s better shop in near shops outside the road who sell the same products but cheaper.the location. Although is amazing and worth a visit

Fresh fruits are overprice and super expensive..Seems they have grown those fruits from the hidden amazon so the price are super high for foreigner who cannot understand the language. Be aware! Try the fruits that they put to you and you can walk away.

To truly know São Paulo, you have to start at the old
centre, full of history and landmarks with stories to
tell. Get a taste of local food at the Municipal
Market, and if you are brave enough, head to the
crowded shopping street “25 de março” for cheap deals
on a wide assortment of items. Beautiful buildings in
this area include the Post Office Building, Luz
Station, Pagé Gallery, Pateo do Colegio and the iconic
