MASP is the best museum. Do not miss the opportunity to visit it and see and learn with its beautiful masterpieces. Check the website for opening hours. Tuesday is free. It’s a must visit!

All museums in universities in Sao Paula offer free entrance for everyone. The Museum de Arte de Sao Paulo Assis offers excellent works of major artists with easy access by bus and taxi. Definitely work a visit whilst you are in Sao Paulo.

The museum seemed to be undergoing works on the basement level. The only floor worth seeing is floor 2. The first floor is just full of geometric structures and paintings by Rubem Valentim. Wasn’t my thing at all. Very boring and pointless unless you’re into...More

Interesting layout and curation (chronological, glass-backed, information on the reverse). Some standout work from South American artists (siguieros, rivera, portenary), but the European pieces are second rate (save the Francis Bacon and Degas sculpture - fantastic additions). Go Tuesday (it’s free), but go early to...More

Known for its Italian cantinas, Bela Vista is the

area is an important cultural part of the city, with
the bohemian and the religious costumes of its
inhabitants on full display. In August, the large
Nossa Senhora Achiropita party fills the streets with
a variety of Italian food and music. You can
