One of the reasons we came to Sao Paulo and sadly it was disappointing. We went on Saturday (maybe that was the problem). It was hot -31C. Lots of families playing which was lovely to see and the trees were wonderful. There were no snakes...More

The 3 museums and surroundings are well maintained. I recommend to parents and teachers to schedule a 3 to 4 hour visit with the children. Has Food Truck on site. The highlight is the Museum of Microbiology and interaction with the public. The museum with...More

my daughter loves bugs. I consider it one of the best programs for children, since nowadays children only want to know about television things.

Have visited twice and found very interesting. Had an excellent conversation with a staff member. If you are interested in South American reptiles and the development of antivenoms, this is a worthwhile visit. Minimal entry fee.

This is the place where living, poisonous snakes can be seen inside a well. There's also a museum and other animals, kind of a mini zoo. The institute produces vaccines of many kinds, and anti venom serum. Good cultural choice for kids.

This used to be my favourite place to visit when I was a kid. There are many reptiles and you can even touch a snake, so kids love it. It's also a nice place to visit, since it's like a park.

Butantã is home to the main campus of São Paulo’s
University, and this neighbourhood has a very
different feel from the rest of the city. Within a
huge green space, covering around eight million square
meters, you can feel the fresh air while mingling with
recreational athletes exercising along the streets of
the university complex. Outside the university, there
is a more residential area where you can see children
