The hippest strip in town, Rua Augusta — especially the gritty but happening stretch north of Avenida Paulista — buzzes with hole-in-the-wall bars, nightclubs thumping from midnight til noon, corner luncheonettes, ethnic eateries, funky clothing stores, rockin' music venues and more than a few grungy strip clubs that are holding on against the tide of gentrification. Rua Augusta pulses as the main artery of São Paulo's nightlife scene, and you'll find a carnivalesque atmosphere almost every night of the week.

A night out in this place can be a lot of fun, bars, restaurants... People that decide to go bar hopping usually end up having the best time.

The street is decades old, and used to be the most famous in town, with plenty of high-end shops, but not anymore. Things get worse as you go upwards, towards Avenida Paulista, and downwards past it. This other part, leading downtown, is the worst, and...More

I am sorry but the write up for this street makes it sound like the most happening street on earth To me no different than hundreds of streets around the world and certainly not buzzing

This is where the cool, young people from Sao Paulo go for food, shopping and the best night outs. You will find very specific places such as rock clubs, gay clubs, strip clubs, etc. But they are all really good and people there tend to...More

Great option for night life lovers. You can find variety of restaurants (mexican, italian, food trucks, local food and others). There's also movie theaters, night clubs, pubs and shops in general.

the city and busy Paulista Avenue. It’s surrounded by

very diverse place. The nightlife along Augusta Street
offers visitors a variety of options to dine, dance
