The beach although is a bit off Natal city centre has a lot to offer and I strongly recommend. The natural pools that are formed between the beach strand and the beach rocks are a perfect place for the kids at low tide specially.

wonderful beach to walk and if you are a luck person, the ocean could be down the rocks and you can visit the "Pedra Oca", it is a small cave by the sea. Beware of the waves can be strong and the tide rises very...More

There is a big reef in front of it, so it does not allow water to fill the beach on low tides, so there will only be some puddles (ideal for small kids like mine) … when high tides are coming the waves start to...More

There are natural swimming pools. You have to be aware of the tides in order to enjoy the place at its most. We went when the was a bit too high, should have gone earlier.

There is a barrier of rocks so the water is very calm. The water is very shallow for a good distance. The food is very good and reasonably priced. There is a shower and bathroom, although it's not very clean/fresh.

It's excellent! The sea is very calm and there are some good restaurants around.. just take care with the children because there are vehicles passing by.

The beach wasn't crowded at all, and sheltered by rocks from the rougher waves. Completely sandy and smooth, it was a joy to walk on -- the beach sloped gently into the sea, and I could swim safely and comfortably in the calm of the...More

This beach is one of the best near Natal. It is about 30 to 40 min by car in a sea side road. The beach is protected by a rock bank making large pools near the beach. But take care, it looks a pool but...More

This was a lovely place to visit. The ocean made a little bay to swim and enjoy the relaxing. Got to be careful because there's an opening in the reef and are rip currents towards the wide ocean. Enjoy the local people how sell there...More

Lovely quiet beach. No fuss at all, leave your car at the beach's small restaurant parking lot. Wear off your legs and return to eat and drink something!
