Amazing view, but quite disturbed by the pollution-cloud enveloping Rio.. I rather prefer the view from Sugar Loaf (Pão de Açucar). The train from the Cosmo Velho station to the top of Corcovado mountain is the slowest train I ever take !

This is not to be missed. I had high hopes for this attraction and it exceeded my expectations - which almost never happens! I loved it, we took a day trip with a guide, he advised us to go early. He drove us up and...More

Coming from the US, the statue of Christ the Redeemer is the image one sees and identifies with Rio. While I don't seek out touristy spots, I felt this one was a "must visit". I'm glad I went. The views of Rio were absolutely stunning.

This statue and the unusual shape of the Sugarloaf make this entire bay the most beautiful site of my life. I have been to 125 countries and, although I am not Catholic, which is quite the sculptors design, I think this is so stunning! I...More
