This is a place to go for modern mall shops which were not of interest to us. It was in and out without looking back.

In the heart of the Tijuca residential neighborhood and near the Maracana soccer stadium, this high rise mall provides all the shopping conveniences in a climate controlled environment.

The Tijuca Shoppingmall is near the Maracanã stadium. If you plan to come to Rio de Janeiro for tourism or during a big event like the Soccer World Cup / Olimpic Games this is a great Choice before the events. Good: parking area, stores, restaurants and fast food. It is a walking distance to the stadium , about 15 minutes.
Do: take a subway. It is also very close to the mall:Saenz Pena station , line 1. A cab from the mall to the stadium costs 10 reals( 4,5us dollars).
Don't : don't buy any tkts from people on the streets.

Compared to Chile the prices are higher, the area is beautiful, there are all kinds of stores, several food courts, it is expensive.

Bathroom problem! They are dirty, especially in the food court! Worse, yesterday after leaving a restaurant (which does not have an indoor bathroom), all the bathrooms in the mall were closed! Several people were desperate looking and couldn't find any open! They closed at 11pm! Unfortunate!

Standard of stores and food court in the average of the vast majority of shopping centers; in other words, nothing much. Extortionately priced parking. After treatment at a nearby doctor's office (we are from Niterói), we went for lunch and went shopping; in other words, WE CONSUME A GOOD AMOUNT! When paying for the "stay" of the car, the unpleasant surprise of paying R$63.00! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS ARAPUCA AGAIN! Two stars due to the good offer of coffee shops...😐 and look there!
