What could make two amazing work weeks of covering Olympic beach volleyball better, well Matheus Manela has an idea. Go join him and his partner Jefferson on an epic adventure through the trails and trees of Rio and summit pedra da gavea. Even better do...More
We did a Vidigal hiking with Free Hiking Rio, and everything went well. Our guide Santiago was very nice and also good organizer. Views from the hill could not be better!!! We walked both ways though a favela, and we did not have any problems.
This hike really made me love Rio and is one of the best things to do when in Rio. We also travelled a lot of the rest of South America and would still say this is one of the best things you can do. We...More

I did the hike to Pedra Bonita and Santa Marta but there are many others (with different difficulties) and they are all great. Nice guide, small groups. It's a great way to discover Rio and enjoy the beautiful viewpoints.
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful
draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
