We wondered up and down the quay and spotted the "Barco Joao Neto" a really attractive small boat with captain Gustavo who treated us really well and spoke English. It's suitable for 4+ people. We agreed a price of R$200 for 3 passengers and a...More

found a good restaurant close to the ship tender but other than that, a significant disappointment. Travel pictures make it look a lot better than it is. Poor condition. Streets were terribly flooded which did not help. Sorry, but I just don't get it....

I absolutely loved here so much, the scenes, the people just everything about here was great. I wish it wasn't so far so I could return.

I had never so much as heard of this magical inlet/bay until we sailed into it. Have been back once. It's magical, with crystal waters and clean beaches that are empty. The surrounding hills and mountains are gorgeous. There's even a small town where one...More

We are not beach people, but getting out onto the water - albeit not in it - is a must if you visit Paraty. We motored around the bay for a while and stopped at a simple local joint on an island for drinks and...More

The best thing to do in Paraty is to hire a local and take a boat tour. We took the “Priscilla” and our local’s name was Maro. He didn’t speak English and we didn’t speak Spanish but we spent 6 hours together. It was just...More

The best thing to do while in Paraty is to take a private boat tour and enjoy the bay with its islands, beaches and warm waters. You can do snorkeling and watch colorful fishes, see turtles, or just relax watching the mountains in the distance!...More

Take one of the boat tours leaving Paraty bay to explore the surrounding islands and you won't regret. Lots of nature and beautiful warm waters to enjoy.

Simple beach with a little commercial people. Normally in Brazil, there are so many people selling accessories, snacks, photo services etc.. on the beach and it is rare to relax. But on this beach, only 4.

Although an inland bay, Paraty still has a lot of beaches and things to do on and around the water. It's very laid back, very tranquil and really worth discovering.

Aloha, Trippers! The Baía de Paraty (Bay of Paraty) I believe is the most beautiful in the city. But the water is very cold, even in the heat. With gentle water and few waves, it is an ideal place to bathe with children and play...More

Hi there! It is not a snorkeling boat. If you brought your own equipment you likely could snorkel though. These boats are right at the marina. You will see them when you walk down to the water. We stayed at a Pousada and... More
