The monument is not very nice, but it is located in a very nice viewpoint of the city. Be certain to come here for the view.
at the base of what was once the old cathedral, you can get a good sense of what the Cruz is all about. Erected in honor of the slaves who were brought to Brazil. Its very cool to see.
Great place to watch the sunset over the city and to look over into the lower city and bay. Great spot!
The monument itself is nice but all there is to see here is the view of the city. When we passed here, there was a dance celebration and that way more interesting than the monument itself. You will not miss it when you go to...More
The monument is not very interesting. There are nice views over the lower city, but the views from the nearby elevator upper station are much nicer.
I saw it as I was passing by it after my visit to Elevador Lacerda. It is a nice spot for photos due to the nice view and nothing more. There are so many others things to see in this area.
The Cross and its reference to the Christianity and more importantly the history of the Church is Salvador makes this piece of art a memorable stop and photo op during a walking tour near the elevator.
Saw it, our guide didn't even mention it, nor did we get a chance to ask, good beach views there but, we do not regret not going back.
Great shot for saying you've been here. But not in the most safest area--if there is one in Pelourinho. Watch your purses, cell phones and money. My friends got their purses snatched off of their arms while shopping.
A fabulous vantage point affording great views over the lower City and port/harbour area.Well worth a visit and on route to the lifts.
