This is a great introduction to Amazon wildlife that you may or may not get to see on the river or in the jungle. I didn't like the way the manatees were housed though.More

A science park in a rainforest setting. This is a nice place to visit. There are giant otters, dangerous alligators, many turtles, huge rodent-looking animals walking around, giant manatees, and rainforest setting. It's inexpensive, and if you want to do something during your visit to...More

There was a lot of walking, especially to the alligators. The museum within the grounds had very interesting exhibits and it was slightly cooler inside. Our guide, Rainier, was excellent. A native hut sold local craft work.

We had limited time in Manaus before heading north so we had to pick between this and the Zoo. Well it took a Rs$70 taxi ride to get there - an expensive trip. The facility for the manatees were old, and it felt run down....More

The main thing I remember are the rescued manatees swimming in 2 pools where the water was pretty murky. Apparently they will be released to the wild later on. I found the little museum very interesting as it displayed models of how the natives lived,...More
