I do not understand how this hotel five stars. I would it maximum 3, minus a star for the cockroach restaurant. I completely accept there are insects in the Amazon, I do not expect a cockroach in the restaurant at breakfast time. I emailed the...More

Eighr of us tour yje zoo.on January 12. Grounds are well kept. Animal cages are larger than some other zoo's. A good mixture of birds and animals found in the local jungle. The highlight is the Jaguar. The car is much larger than I thought....More

You would appreciate coming to this place if you have extra time. Some animals you did not see during your Amazon cruise are here. Sad but true. it is best to do the tour during late afternoon.

A well`-planned and wooded walk through the zoo. Nice, clean walkways. But I always hate to see the big animals, especially the jaguar penned up.

During or visit to Brazil we were about 400 miles west of Manaus on the Amazon river and we saw a jaguar early one morning. He was feeding along the river about 200 meters away. Our second time was here and we were about 2...More

Likely your only chance to see wildlife unless you go DEEP into the region. Easy walk and viewing, Not crowded. Minimum wildlife however interesting. Handicap access Appears to be part of a military installation.
