You can get to the first falls walking from town in about 1.5 hours. Lonely Planet says something or other about a trail from El Calvario... don't do it. Not maintained, you'll feel like you're lost the entire time, and climbs to an unnecessary altitude...More

Quite the sight. I think this is one of the highest waterfalls around, quite impressive. I think it is worth stopping to see but I would not do much more than take a few pictures and maybe have a snack there.

You need a car or can rent a taxi to get to these waterfalls which surprise the viewer w/ its water flow & clear water coming down from a greenish hill.
