We went out on Sat November 3, 2018. It was raining the whole time and kind of breezy. The first part of the tour most people stayed in the heated cabin until we were told we were approaching a pod. Then everyone poured out onto...More

This was my 3rd whale watching experience, having done one in New England and one in Juneau. Wildlife is always unpredictable, and I was fortunate to see a humpback breech before, however my 6 year old really wanted to see whales. After looking at a...More

We took the whale watching cruise out of Port Angeles and couldn't have been happier. We saw a family of Orcas as well as Humpbacks. The captain and crew made sure to find whales and when we did, it was breathtaking!

Came across Island Adventures totally by accident; the Gods were smiling on us. We travelled from the UK to take an Alaskan cruise out of Seattle and decided to spend a week in Seattle first to include a whale watching trip. We set off for...More

We've seen humpbacks on whale watching tours along the Atlantic, but never orca's, so that was the reason we chose this tour. We drove the long way from our timeshare in Glacier to Anacortes and managed to get there nice and early on a day...More

We did the four hour trip out of Anacortes in September. It was lovely. There is more than enough room on the boat for everyone. You can sit or stand outside comfortably or stay warm inside. We followed the J-pod for quite a while at...More

If you're debating between Island Adventures and another whale watching company, stop debating and choose Island Adventures now! My husband and I spent 5 days around Seattle sight seeing and vacationing and whale watching was by far our favorite activity! The staff with Island Adventures...More

Rachel, Thank you for that glowing review! From your description, it sounds like you were on the recent tour that took us farther west than we've ever been before aboard the Island Explorer 5! It was a long run but certainly well worth it. We...More

I’m a local and had never been on a whale watching trip. This trip was a birthday present. The ship was clean and comfortable and the crew was amazing. It was a gorgeous day and we ended up seeing a Bull Sea Lion, Harbor Seals,...More

Thanks for reviewing your tour! You are correct, that's one of the farthest tours we've had all season, but it was well worth it for a double-header with both orcas and a humpback! We'll pass your comments on to your crew and let them know...More

Spent 9/10/2018 whale watching and it exceeded our expectations. We saw lots of Orcas but no other types of whales which was ok because orcas were the reasons for our trip. Great crew. I will highly recommend it.

I don't tend to be seasick, but the boat was fairly steady and the waters pretty calm. I didn't notice anyone having any problems.
