Love this place close to Horseshoe Curve and in a real railroading town. Lot's to see and do and and get right on some of the rolling stock. Come here several times a year.

The Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum is a gem displaying classic railroad history memorabilia. The exterior facade and the interior decor are extremely well designed and the exhibits are very interesting and informative. Visitors will not be disappointed with their trip to the Museum.

The museum is very nicely done and interesting, especially for train fans. It is small so the visit there is a short one. Suitable for children. One can have birthdays and other events there.

During the summer they have concerts at the museum and are reasonably priced. There is good food and drinks for purchase. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy.

This museum tells all about Altoona's importance to the railroad industry during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The museum itself is very well done and informative not only of the railroad but of the lives of the employees and towns people. Great history!

The Railroaders Memorial Museum is downtown and Horseshoe Curve & Museum are a few miles outside of town. If you buy a ticket for either, you can go to the other on the same day for no additional charge.

You can buy tickets at the museum not shade trees there or picnic area The Horseshoe curve has an incline or walk up and there is an area at the top and bottom where you park for shade and a picnic
