The once-mighty Pennsylvania Railroad had to conquer great civil engineering challenges in Western Pennsylvania on its way to becoming one of the dominating railroads in the pre-merger era. This museum documents the PRR story with a balance of artifacts, exhibits and video presentations. It is...More

The indoor part of the museum is impressive and well made, with careful and knowledgeable attention to all details. The outdoor part is also nice, but unfortunately the equipment is generally in rusty condition. The GG1 locomotive is an impressive sight and worth the visit...More

The Railroaders Memorial Museum is downtown and Horseshoe Curve & Museum are a few miles outside of town. If you buy a ticket for either, you can go to the other on the same day for no additional charge.

You can buy tickets at the museum not shade trees there or picnic area The Horseshoe curve has an incline or walk up and there is an area at the top and bottom where you park for shade and a picnic
