Located at the square of Allentown, this wonderful monument is hard to miss and is a nice tribune to soldiers who fought for this country. However it is surrounded by intersections that usually require the usage of a crosswalk to get close.

I always enjoy a monument to the men and women that stood up for this country, this one is in the middle of an intersection and very visable

If you go downtown Allentown, it's hard to miss this monument. It sits right in the center of Hamilton Street. Sadly, it's surrounded by the street & traffic signals, so there's not much room to get closer to it.

This is a beautiful old monument, which is a great part of history. The city decorates this monument for holidays. It is right in the heart of the newly restored area of Allentown.

The monument is right in the middle of Hamilton St. It is very hard to miss. It is a nice bit of history that we have right in town. This style of Civil War Monument was very popular, so to have one locally is great!

Right in the center of Allentown...actually in the center of a busy intersection. I see it everyday on my way to work. It could be a little precarious to cross in the traffic, because many go through the red light to get around the circle....More

This is a unique monument to our Civil War veterans. Allentown has a proud history in the Civil War, sending some of the first Federal troops to defend DC right after the firing on Fort Sumpter. Additionally, these troops were the ones subjected to assault...More

The monument is located on an island at the intersection of W. Hamilton Street & South 7th Street, standing 99 feet in height, that can be seen about a 1/4 mile away. The flagstaff is topped with the "God of Liberty". At the shaft's base...More
