You see them from a distance, but when you get close, it is kind of sad. Graffiti, broken bottles. Still nice views looking back at the city. Not that old. Abandoned.

The windmills are high on a hill between Bodrum and Gumbet and are a striking landmark. Up close they are not as well preserved as you would like but one has been reconstructed to give a true impression of their former glory. At night the...More

It is worth having a look at the windmills but they look nothing like the pictures, but the views from the top of the hill is worth the walk up there.

Great views from the top but the area around is a bit scrubby but it does have the obligatory water, beer, snack shack. All but one of the Windmills are pretty much derelict. Don't know if they're being restored or or going to be restored...More

very nice view to the Bodum and beautiful sunset. The windmills are poorly maintained but worth a visit.

Im glad we had brief hire of a moped as if I had walked up the mountain purely to see the windmills I'd have been underwhelmed. They are mostly derelict, graffitti and rubbish everywhere. The view is amazing but the windmills unfortunately aren't.

Wow, what a waste and an insult to the cities past. I guess because these were "greek" ideas, the city government doesn't want to do any up keep on these ruins. If you've been to Mykonos and seen the windmills there, you are in for...More
