Personally I prefer the food courts of the malls in the vicinity of jalan Alor like the one at Low Yat as they offer much better value and conditions are more hygienic. The differences in price and quality are significant. Locals working in the area...More

When you come here you will be harassed by vendors who can smell a tourist dollar. Be careful to ask for prices before you order. Be prepared to be overcharged for ordinary food

Jalan Alor food markets, many many outside eateries, very busy, we ate at different places a few times, all food was good but we liked Kee Hun ( opposite 24 hr supermarket). No tablecloths or fineries but good tucker.

I would suggest to take the monorail at Imbi, the traffic is hectic that time of night and a 5 minute trip can take up to 40 min. Taxi's would take a long time.
