About
This is the largest integrated commercial complex in western Japan. Centering around JR Osaka Station, the OSAKA STATION CITY features the fashion building LUCUA Osaka on its northern side, and the department store Daimaru Umeda, Hotel Granvia Osaka and the restaurant zone Umaimono Plaza in its southern section. Here, you can shop for all sorts of souvenirs such as cosmetics and Japanese and Western confectioneries. If you're hungry, there's an enormous variety of Japanese restaurants and international restaurants to choose from. Within OSAKA STATION CITY, there are ten distinct plazas, including ”Toki-no-hiroba Plaza(Time and Space Plaza)” characterized by its giant dome-shaped roof spreading over the station; ”South Gate Plaza,” where you can see the water clock that is Japan's only clock chosen for ”12 of the world's most beautiful clocks” on CNN's website in 2014; and ”Tenku-no-noen Farm (Sky Farm),” an oasis where you can connect with nature in the heart of the city.

- bruceywonderHong Kong, China333 contributionsGreat station!I believe many people will visit this station. Other than the usual reviews you get such as very busy with lots of shops. I’d like to add that there are also plenty of lockers to use. They range from ¥400-800 subject to the size you want. However, you need to find where there are available tho.Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 May 2023

As well as the shopping there are hotels attached to the station, so everything you need is right at your fingertips. The only issue is being able to find your way around this massive complex if you're not familiar with it. We were lost for about an hour until a friendly local came to our rescue. This was greatly appreciated and we were back on track in no time.Visited August 2023Written 7 August 2023

Make sure to not confuse this one with the other Osaka station. This station has a lot of shops and stores in which you can easily get lost in.

As a person that doesn't speak Japanese - the train station was easy to navigate. If you need help there are employees that would gladly help you out.

Definitely one of the most unforgettable station-experience, EVER! This mega structure is huge! As one of the major train station in Osaka, Osaka Station serve many line, also many train types. The station located in one complex with Shin-Osaka station and Umeda Station. Osaka Station doesn't serve Shinkansen Train. The Sinkansen train serve by Shin-Osaka Station (Shinkansen serve by station with "Shin" in front of the station name). The station definetely serve millions of people, so the crowd is real! Many store and restaurant too in this station, so you won't be disappointed while waiting your train here.

Aside from the typical features of Japanese station/terminal with kombini and other food establishments, it also has department stores, coffee shops and garden. It has also a farm on the higher floor the Tenku-noen Farm (on the building) which is a must-visit-September 2018

Came in on the train from the KIX airport. Was not expecting such a massive mall and entertainment center! Really nice stores and lots of fun things to do.

A great place to wander around, whether or not you're catching a train (I was!).
Many great views of Osaka city, particularly at night. A photographer's delight. Possibly the longest escalators in the world!
One of the best railway stations I have ever visited. Five star for train enthusiasts!
