Nice temple but would not make a detour for it. We visited the temple shortly before closing time and I found the 10 minutes time we had more than sufficient.

The lion's head is said to devour malevolent spirits, so I went there to have a look-see and maybe pray for some good luck. Unfortunately, not much was going on because it looked like they were packing for something. Still, I prayed, had pictures and...More

Not many people visit this shrine. However, I found that this shrine is very nice, and my whole family like this place. The shrine is not very big, but due to lesser crowd here, we get to enjoy the surrounding.

This is a demonic shrine which is less common. Different types of oni and demons are inside and it's definitely worth popping into for a peak.

The magnificence of the shrine can only be appreciated when one is there physically. There are no other temples in Osaka which has such a unique structure! Worth a visit!

Definitely a great Shrine to visit because it's different to all the others. Not busy at all and only a short walk from trains. My kids loved it as it was different to anything else they've seen.

It was close to where I stayed in Namba area, maybe about 15 min walk from Namba station. It was good to just drop in to see the lion shrine. If you are around the area, why not?

Located in the residential area of Namba. This small shrine is easy to find. Not far from Namba station. It was quiet and not many tourist around. A very different design to a normal shrine in Japan. Worth a visit if you are in Namba.
