The park has a world-class Railway Museum aan nd Aquarium embedded in it. It has walking paths, seats from which to watch the railway lines, old trams to dine in, water features, play areas and shady trees. Good at any time of the year.

This park was a MUST for families in Kyoto. Great playground, grassy area, small pond, and contains the aquarium (did not visit) and railroad museum (5 stars). Visited this park several times during our visit. Young kids will appreciate the break from the shrines and...More

This could be a nice park but it seemed very run down and uncared for. In such a nice location this is a pity. Still, we sat for a while and watched the trains passing by including the Shinkasen in the distance and this was...More

The park is moderate, you will pass the park way go to Kyoto train museum. Buying lunchbox at Isetan JR Kyoto basement and to eat lunch is a good idea. You can ride small battery driven train 150JPY (but it only runs 200m)
