In the centre of the park, you'lll pass it when moving fro the museum to see the other memorial. Lovely peaceful spot and strongly symbolic of the need to stop war. We got a few lovely photos at this spot.
Considering the location and purpose, the meaning behind this symbol is simple and profound. It is actually the "anti" eternal flame; Hiroshima WILL extinguish this flame whenever the world collectively destroys ALL nuclear weapons.
The Peace Flame is absolutely gorgeous- at night. During the day the flame was kind of hard to see and underwhelming. I went back at night, and it was breathtaking. As long as you visit the Flame at night, you won't be disappointed.
