Visited the museum today with friends. They did a good job on the architecture. There are several exhibits in the museum.
It is easy to get around. Can be a little crowded.
The national treasure exhibit is on the ground floor.
I like museums that are not overcrowded with exhibits and vistors. This one is great = simple for a visitor, even a bit empty. But it was crowded by visitors, meaning there was nearly no air left. Similar problem as at the museum of terracota...More

This place is full of good items from the Tang Dynasty, but it is so popular that it is hard to fight the crowds. Ask your tour guide to go at the best time. He will know. All in all, an important stop in Xi'an.
Having a feeling of being in- touch with one of the oldest cultures in the world. But my advise to read about the history before you came to the museum. Internet was not working there properly and it's practically impossible to get information in English...More
