The top of "wide-walled Troy" was supposed to be wide enough for two chariots to pass. They could easily do that on this wall, with room to spare.

Excellent chance to see a historic part of the city wall - a reminder of centuries ago - you can practically feel the history being there

Cycling the Xi'an City Wall was part of our customized, private package Odynovo China tour which included a driver and English speaking guide for the two of us. Our travel consultant, Andy, recommended cycling the City Wall. So glad we decided to ride the bikes....More

If you have time plan to walk the entire wall. If not hire a bike or take a golf buggy. Great to be above the city and see the contrast between the old and new.

It's much easier to walk on this Wall than the Great Wall. It's a great place to watch retirees doing their morning exercises. It won't take much time out of your schedule to visit and is worth seeing.

Bikes are available for rental so that you can ride atop the wall. Interesting history. Not much besides a wall and watchtowers, but still is an interesting place to see.

Hated walking up to the platform but to just sit there and walk around a little was worth the visit.

I first toured this fortified walled-city in 2005. The wall surrounding the ancient part of Xi’an is well preserved and very impressive. It is easy to see how troops could have quickly moved around atop the defensive wall. As part of our visit, we rented...More

Once you leave you cannot renter. It’s very inexpensive to get in around 8 US dollars. I would recommend renting the bikes it’s a lot of fun and you can ride at your own pace. Stopping and viewing the city it’s beautiful.

Open all the time! You now have to pay to go there. Not expensive like 10 US dollars. You can even rent bike to ride around. It is about 15 km around. Very nice!
