Well if you like to be outdoors then this is another nice place to venture out for a walk, like I did. The weather had sobered down and with the sun shining it offers a perfect getaway to be in nature. Lots of nice flowers...More
I went with a local friend, who had come before in the summer but not the colder months. We got admission to the greenhouses besides the general gate ticket, and that was a neat area to walk in with more reading available. There was also...More
The botanical garden itself is quite large with but a few varieties of plants. Its landscape is poorly managed with the exception of few viewpoints. The conservatory area closes at least 30 minutes prior to the time indicated on the tickets and there is no...More
We enjoyed a good 3 1/2 hours there and it was not too crowded at all. Optional admission fee allowed us to enter the 3 glasshouses. They were fantastic. Some air-conditioned enclosures within to replicate the alpine temperature of the plants displayed. There were seriously...More
We were so fortunate to be able to catch part of a highlights tour around the 4 greenhouses. It was led by a volunteer and started fr 3.30pm, but we joined half way from 430pm. Tours are conducted in Chinese.

For China, this is a better-than-average botanical garden intended to show off a collection of sub-tropical plants. There are a series of glass houses that provide tropical moist habitat for plants, and there is also an arid glasshouse. There is a big collection, but many...More
The grounds are well kept but the greenhouses have seen better days I'm afraid.
Can get a 20 RMB ticket or 50 RMB combo. I recommend the later.
Located right next to botanical garden metro station.
I enjoyed it. Killed a couple of hours
Nice place, about 7 minutes walk from the metro station Botanical Garden, two types of tickets: 20 rmb for garden only, 50 rmb for garden and greenhouses. The last one worth its price. The park is well maintained, in the greenhouses there are proper translation...More
The botanical garden is very nice to spend a « quite » moment. The park is huge so I advice to take at least 3-4 hours to visit it.
We took the full package with the conservatory for 50 yuan which is good value.

Yes, you could get around a lot of the garden in a wheelchair. The pathways are mostly paved and without steps. The greenhouses would be more difficult - some had rocky paths and steps. If I remember correctly, you'd be able to get into all of them, but not get everywhere within them. There is also a ride system - you can get on this, and it will take you around the garden. However, it is not wheelchair accessible. Its cost is included in the price of the entrance ticket.
