Not to be missed. The Hermitage has one of the largest and most resplendent collections of French paintings. It is breath taking.

The General Staff Building is a great newer addition to the museum complex. The great names of Impressionism are represented here. There is also a large collection of Post-Impressionism works up to the Russian Revolution. Private collections were expropriated by the government for the enjoyment...More

A wonderful collection presented incredibly well. So happy we added this to our tour as a must see. Well worth the time and not nearly as crowded as the Hermitage itself.

A very impressive building at the other side of the square from the Winter Palace and Hermitage museum.

It is a surprise to most that the Hermitage has such an impressionist collection. It was less crowded than the rest of the Hermitage and worth the time and visit. The building was neat and the cafe is a great place for lunch.

loved the sculptures, artworks and the architecture of the space- magical! Less crowded than the bigger Hermitage site. Beautiful rooms that are breathtaking regardless of the art on the walls

This is a must since all Impressionist and Post Impressionist paintings have been moved from Hermitage to here. Reasonable entrance fee and miles of enjoyment.

We went up several flights of stairs to get to it. I don’t recall what floor but I used the map they give you as a reference. The impressionist exhibit was worth the visit. They had virtual reality history tour in the main... More
