One of the most largest mosque in Europe part of Russia, it can accomodate up to 5000 people.It's replicate of the Imam Bukhari's mausoleum in Samarkand, Uzbekishtan

Passed by the Great Mosque of St Petersburg on my way to Zayachiy Island. I got off at Gorkovskaya Metro and walked passed the mosque.

as far as not being religious goes, and not really being into churches etc, this building is well worth a look IF you are in the area, its by a nice park in a quiet part of the city.

calm n picturesque mosque , unfortunately it was closed for renovation . So cant comment on d interiors. Not a must watch but can visit as its 100 m from metro station Gorkovskaya where u can get down to go to the Peter and Paul...More
