A cool parkland on a hot day. The fountains are varied as are the statues. Yes, confined mainly to the wide paths and also busy BUT unlike places abroad there is no-one behaving behaving either selfishly or loudly - just people enjoying the peace and...More

Good place for an evening stroll. Actually rather busy, and much of the green space is fenced off. But it is good for people watching, and the fountains are fun. Lots of snacks available too.

Nice to walk with friends or kids , beautiful and big park with many things to see. Easy to access. Especially in good weather I suggest it!

If you have a camera or cell phone you just have to visit here. The views of the gardens are nothing short of spectacular. We were there at 10:00 when the fountains come to life. Unbelievable!

Generally, the parks in Petersburg are so beautiful! The date back to 18-19 th century, the trees as quite witnesses remember mostly the tsar epoque, generously producing fresh air to the visitors needing some relax. You will meet there a lot of P' s inhabitants,...More

The garden is the main attraction here. In fact at our visit the palace was closed for works. Lots of pathways to stroll with plenty of fountains, its a lovely place on the river bank

2-floor "summer" home for Peter I (he lived on the bottom floor ) and Catherine (she lived upstairs). His aim was for this to look like Venice. You be the judge (we've been to Venice and, in our opinion... not so much). Peter-party-head like to...More

Splendid place, regreshing. Statues, fountains, history and culture, source for celebrated Pushkin Queen of Spades. Nicely renovated, with plates explaining about every object/building/garden. Entrances from the 2 opposited sides, from the Neva embarkment or from the Mikhailovsky Palace. No parking.

Take the boat tour to the place ... Start off with the gardens, learn about how those hundreds of fountains do not need any power or motors ... the irrigation system. The beauty of palace itself and walk around that area ... if you are...More
