Although there was no english tour available when I went, I was fortunate enough to have bilingual people in my group. The ship itself is in astonishing condition and has quite a bit of historical displays and information on board. This is well worth a visit if you are a history buff like myself!

For most tourists this is just a ship docked on the shore of the Neva river. As St. Petersburg has many tourist places this would not be ranked in lower digits, no wonder is rated #106 of places to see.

Beware, there are no toilet facilities for visitors, you will be sent to a public one on the street about 200 meters away.

This is a wonderful piece of history and I get excited as I write this review. Just thinking about the intense feelings it's crew members were experimenting after mutiny on that October 25th, 1917 morning when with a single blank shot, signaled the start of the assault on the Winter Palace, an event that changed the life of tsarist Russia and eventually impacted on every soul in the planet as the plans for a communist URSS were laid down after the revolt.

This ship underwent a huge restoration as it was attacked during the bombardments of St. Petersburg during WW2, a few years ago was renovated again and so one has access to more areas on the ship. Since the cruiser belongs to the marine, it has a crew of sailors in uniform who are willingly photographed with visitors.

Worth a visit if you are into the October Revolution, otherwise see it just from the outside, where you will spot the St Andrews tsarist Russian flag and the historic ship´s gun.

Aurora is a famous cruiser and nowadays upper deck is like in old good time while the lower deck is a museum. Its lovely arranged and only downside is all the informations are only in Russian language so one might consider taking a tour guide.Anyway its a great place to visit..to feel the moment of history! You will find so many interesting info(like the places visited by Aurora, battles ,etc),photos, pieces of clothes, weapons etc...

Must see attraction and museum in St.Petersburg. As a tourist you pay 700 rb and if you need voice guide plus 400 rb. But it is worth for it. Ship is like brand new and you should feel strong historical atmosphere. You have access to almost all level of ship (except captain bridge and back of the ship). Take a look through canon optic is strong experience.

First time i visit a war ship. Bought a ticket and entranced. Now the ship is a museum.
Its well maintaing for visiters. Deck is good for photos too. Inside the ship, the entire history is display in a proper way.
As the ship has more than 100 year, it looks as new.

Interesting as it's the ship that fired the first shot of the Bolshevik attack on the Winter Palace during the October Revolution. It looks exactly like you'd expect a warship to be and you can easily view it from the quayside. It's now a museum but I'm not sure how much more you'd get by paying to go onboard though.

First saw this from our hotel window and had to go and have a closer look. Wonderful piece of wartime history to look at but didn't go inside. Also gets lit up at night.

We saw the cruiser, Aurora on a recent call to St Petersburg. We only had time to view the exterior on this occassion but hopefully next time we will be able to visit the inside too.

We got to see the cruiser early in the morning before other groups of tourists were getting off their buses, but then it was closed to see inside

A number of old ships have been turned in to museums and this is a good one although we have been on better ones else where. It was busy when we went and we felt a little rushed through the tour. One thing to be careful of are the people dressed up in costumes who want to have photos taken with you but actually they charge you for the privilege of having your photo taken with them. I am sure it is a good touristic attraction but personal I felt they were a little pushy. They were so keen on having their photos taken with out first seeing the colour of your money in the end I took mine from the safety of the coach so that I could warn people of the cost risk.
The boat is a great bit of history and suitable for all ages but you need to be fit really to get on board.
