The architecture is unique and amazing. Really a work of Art. It is just walk from the metro and many souvenir shops around.

The building is well decorated and must visit. Not much as a church. Better to take picture at a distance and the evening sky will amaze you.

I've visited this church a number of times, and have been awed every time. The painting and mosaics everywhere are incredible. You'll likely walk out with a crick in your neck because of all the time you spend looking up and around. Even though its...More

All mosaic art work. 23130 square feet of it. Extraordinary! It took 24 years to construct and, after early Soviet vandalism, 27 years to restore. Jaw droppingly astonishing from the moment you walk through the door.. Built on the site of the assassination of Tsar...More

Apart from the grim reason this amazing building was built everything else is simply marvelous. Outstanding architecture. Especially since the city is very European-like and not many buildings have this authentic Russian touch. Cheap entrance. Highly recommended.

I’d recommend to take a guided tour or Audioguide. The history behind its idea and construction is pretty interesting. But the place itself is just marvelous!
