The outside is amazing and so is the inside. When you see every inch of the inside painted then realise that they are actually mosaics you will be even more impressed. The alters and religious artefacts are fantastic. Don’t just look at this amazing building...More

Very impressive both externally with its colourful lollipop like domes and internally with its fabulous mosaic covered walls and ceilings which depict different scenes from the bible. Well worth a visit.

This church is not the number one place to visit whilst in St Petersburg for no reason - it is absolutely breath-taking. The mosaic craftsmanship has to be seen to be believed. The church is so easy to get to being a short walk off...More

Breathtaking. Rent the audio headsets if you don't speak Russian. Don't be fooled by the people in costumes outside who ask if you want your picture taken. If you take a picture with them (with your camera no less) they will charge you.

It's worthy visiting this church as you will not see something similar in Europe! We also took an audioguide which explained to us the reason why this church was built.

The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood (Church of the Resurection) is a beautiful structure with five colorful onion shaped multi colored domes. Beautiful inside and out. A massive mosaic collection. One of the largest in Europe. A must see.
