We were on our way back from the Peter and Paul Fortress and thought we would have a look at this wonderful cathedral. Well worth the effort. Totally stunning display of mosaics. Gorgeous

Oh, I loved this church. One of my favorites in Europe. We went there independently, just walked from our hotel named M'Hotel. The entrance fee is about $7 USD. The interior is absolutely amazing. It's amazing because it's not only beautiful, but every single image...More

Took lots of photos round the outside. On three very different coach tours of the city, we stopped right outside this extraordinary building. Sadly, we were only given a maximum of 15 minutes each time. Became a stock joke. Fair enough, it was only billed...More

Well worth a visit. Interesting. Need about 45mins inside. Early morning visit as it opens means less crowded.

The decorated domes were liked nothing I had ever seen in person. I had an idea from books but the reality of the place is simply a once in a life time thing. A for ever memory.

You need to buy tickets to enter and see unlike some of the other cathedrals in the city, but it was worthwhile. On the weekends, there are souvenir vendors set up along the canal.

The external architecture is stunning, lots of colours and shapes. The architecture is similar to St Basils in Moscow - two great cathedrals. Currently the renovation scaffolding is obstructing parts of the facade and restricting the view.

It is very easy to get around Saint Petersburg just by walking and is also very easy to go to the Church of the Spilled Blood.
