Interesting attraction, the conditions for the submariners is poor, hot, cramped and noisy. I certainly would not want to go to sea in a vessel like this let alone go under the surface, brave sailors.

It is worth going to see the submarine. The tour takes 20 minutes and it is in Russion. There were four of us who did not speak Russiin and the guide tried to explain the basics in English, although his English was not good. Still...More

I participated in a tour in Russian, without understanding a word. Still I enjoyed it very much, and the guide was very nice :-) I would definitively recommend a visit!

Was excited to see this, however the hour and half wait was discouraging. This is a small sub and they are strictly limited to how many people can tour the sub at one time. It is pretty cool to see the inside of a machine...More

I visited the Icebreaker Krasin first then submarine S-189 (C-189 in Russian). I can't say which I enjoyed better, they are both worth visiting. For the submarine, they organized use into small tour groups impromptu, no need to be three on the hour like for...More

Only person who spoke English was the girl taking the ticket money. Don't let that stop you taking a tour just to see how cramped it would have been for the crew and the engineering involved in a submarine. Although the guides spoke no English...More
