Neighbourhood: Yakimanka
Yakimanka acts as Moscow’s evergreen lungs with prime beaches on the Moscow river. All the benefits of visiting and living in Yakimanka are gathered at the Moscow river embankment – three parks: Gorky, Muzeon and Neskuchny garden shape this green stripe with museums showing the hippest contemporary art. The area is full of activities for your eyes (museums), mouth (restaurants) and feet (sport and dance-wise). Access anywhere is easy, just hop on a river boat and continue your journey throughout the city.

Could've been much better..

The idea is great and the construction is solid. But. The time between sessions is supposed to be for the cervices to fix the ice. Well, they don't. The ice in the evening session is really bad, especially if there are crowds around. This in turn seriously jeopardize safety. We were lucky that our first time was in the weekdays when there were fewer people around. This was great and our family was happy. Really have been looking forward coming again. Which we did recently, but now during holidays. It was obvious that organizers don't value reputation concentrating on the profit part. Instead they should have done the following.
1. Fix the max number of people at much smaller number, perhaps 2-3 times smaller.
2. Really do their job on fixing the ice between morning and night sessions.
Generally aim for the long standing goals such as keeping consistent high standards and quality instead of just maximizing profits.
Until this is done, unfortunately I don't see our family going to this place again.

Fun and super good organised
Jan 2019 • Family
Gorky park is a great visit any way and in the winter it includes the ice skating rink. It is super organised. You can buy tickets online, automatic booth or the classic way. See prices on the photo. There are toilets even on the rink. There is a very wide range of food and drink available.
It’s very clean. Fun music. First aid station. And of course you can rent ice skates, in good shape. And if you want more, go and visit garage museum in Gorky park. Awesome!

Great winter activity for your family
Jan 2018 • Family
My family absolutely loved “Stereokatok” skating rink in Gorky Park. Nice dance music, cheerful crowd, quality rental skates, inexpensive snacks and mulled wine. They have two sessions 10am-3pm and 5pm-11pm. Highly recommend after sunset!

An eye opener
Dec 2016 • Couples
Had the privilege to visit this skating rink here,
Every year during winter, they will open up and custom make an outdoor skating rink in this park.
So I had a chance to visit it the previous year.
My advice, go on a weekdays as it's cheaper and less crowded.
The rates goes by day and hours, for example it's particularly more expensive on weekends evening.
So plan well if you intend to visit this skating rink.
As it's an outdoor skating rink, the floor was not tended too well and was kinda rough, so thats the only downside to it.
Go there for the view and the experience, not for those who wanna really skate for the sake of skating.

Specially with children. It is just fun get lost in the maze and when you are hungry stop for a coffee or something to eat. Was quite busy during the new year holiday.
