Beautiful but…
Sep 2021
I visited the Kremlin and the cathedrals. They are all beautiful. But I was a bit surprised of the status of the whole area, there is a big need of restoration in all the cathedrals- surprising for this prime tourist site, but still worth a visit.

The center of medieval Moscow
Apr 2021
Kremlin in Russian means the medieval citadel which was a stronghold with massive fortifications - walls and watchtowers. Inside of it was the epicenter of the era's life, royal residences and churches.
The Cathedral square is right in the middle of Moscow Kremlin, consisting of several (3 or 4) churches with most important being the 15c Uspenski Sabor Church where tsars were crowned and St. Michaels. Apart from that, there're huge Tsar cannon and Tsar bell displayed.
One ticket is valid for all, but you must keep it to present it each time and inside photos are prohibited.

Breathtaking architecture/art/history
Feb 2020 • Couples
Cathedral Square is located within the Kremlin walls. It’s the central square where all the streets used to converge in the 15th century. You must (!!!) take a ticket that allows you to enter the cathedrals and churches! You will be stunned by their beauty from the inside. Don’t miss it! Keep the tickets as you gotta show them every time you enter each cathedral/church. Inside there are also stands with brochures in different languages. Take those. One of the places didn’t allow to take photos inside but the rest didn’t have such a limitation. Anyways, breathtaking architecture, frescoes and iconography. The square is very curious too. It seems so crowded because of those churches next to each other but at the same time it’s very harmonious. You will also see on the square the Tsar Bell, the biggest bell in the world, and the Tsar Cannon, the cannon with the biggest caliber in the world. The bell was never used at all, but they say the cannon has been used once. Also, there is a free restroom on the territory, clean and neat.

A wealth of history associated with the cathedrals within this square. Fantastic architecture. Expect a few crowds even in low season.
