This river brings vibe to the city. Walking and bike tracks run along side the river and it’s great for a walk after dinner. The banks of the river have lots of bars and cafes with restaurant boats and bars actually in the water. The...More

The Bega Canal (this is not the natural river course) to the city's inner south is lined extensively by parks and paths. Ignore the garish children's playgrounds and it's a pleasant place to meander (nobody sticks to one side of the paths or the other)...More

I ran here each morning along the well paved river paths. The river takes you around the city center and parks and though the many neighborhoods along the river. I felt safe and it was lovely.

Bega river runs through Timisoara and makes a great place to relax by. It's not very big, but big enough for some water sports to go on, which makes quite a spectacle, especially on weekends.

The river walk provides a quiet respite from the noisy streets of Timisoara. Quaint bridges and walkways with steps down to the slow moving water. The central section is more park-like than the western section.

Pleasant walks along the canal with numerous bars and restaurants along the way. Rose garden was pretty. Particular good was the Riviera restaurant. You can hire pedalos for 30 Lei for one hour. Didn't see any free boats as mentioned in previous reviews
