Overview
More
Held on the fourth Saturday of January each year, in Iloili City in the Philippines, the Dinagyang Festival is a religious and cultural celebration. In the late '70s, the traditional festival was rebranded and designed to attract tourism to the Philippines. Today, various regions throughout the country celebrate with warrior dances, massive parades and feasting. Innovations such as the carousel performance and mobile risers sprung from the Dinagyang Festival throughout the years.

Dinagyang Festival is one of the best in terms of dance contingent performance. The tribal dance competition is awesome. What I like is the presentation, the drums and their tribal attire. It reflect the Panay culture before Christianity.

It doesn't take more than 10 seconds to write and announce on Facebook that the tickets are not sold at the back of the Freedom Grandstand (announced a week earlier) but at Ledi's Supermart. Thanks for the confusion and wasting a lot of people's time....More
