We really enjoyed our dives with subaqua. They were experiencing a little bit of turn-over and apparently the staff was all new to the location (but they'd been with SubAqua elsewhere). The sites were very nice. They were full of fish, and we saw several species that were new to us. On the second dive, we waited for 26 minutes on the surface for the local boat driver who was elsewhere and on his phone. That was annoying, but not scary or anything. Sean was a great guide and very patient with us. Nancy was a big help in the office.

Well i don't want to generalize sub-aqua but my experience was terrible with them, for the first time in my life i go for a full day diving where i paid that much with such a bad service!
we went a speed boat where no toilet facilities were there for snorkelers or anybody who was on boat. No food was served on board, not even a sandwich which will cost peanuts and it was a hassle to bring food when the pick-up is in the morning. We picked our food and went on the boat where one cooling box was there and surprisingly the people leading this trip were so stingy and served one small juice can. Not mentioning how rude the guide was and asking people to carry their stuff and go wash them while most of the people paid such a big amount to get help while they are on vacation.
The rudest part is when he was asking a lady diver to carry her tanks to his car. On the other hand we were in an Arab country and this guide takes off his short to change his clothes in front of me while i had my wife and a couple more ladies. I had an issue and couldn't do my second dive so this guide charged me one dive and since i was on the boat he charged me another half day snorkeling knowing that i paid the boat charge separate. In general this was the most expensive dive i ever had anywhere and the worst!!!!!!

Did 5 days diving with Sub Aqua Salalah. I am fairly experienced (almost 800 dives), and have seen quite a lot of dive spots around the world, and Salalah can definitely keep up. Water is generally colder than in the tropics (24 degrees) and visibility generally low. Dives sites except for one wreck at 30 meters are well suited for beginners, but also offer a lot for experienced divers. Here is a small selection of what I saw: schooling barracudas, many turtles, lots of different morays, different types of rays including a mobula manta and an eagle ray, octopusses, sepias, different types of nudis, lobsters. And the most unique was the discovery of a kakadu leaf fish, which I saw for the first time. Service is good, but not on a luxury level. Do expect to set up your own tank and carry a bottle to the boat. (And don't dive if you can't handle that). Dive trips are usually full day (boat trips or land based), leaving between 8:00 and 8:45 and returning between 15:00 and 16:30. Drinking water and small fruit juice cans are sufficiently available. Only piece of constructive criticism: it would be nice if divers were offered some snacks and/or fruit between the dives. The best thing about the dive center are the dive guides, especially John and also Jeanne. Especially with John it is obvious he still enjoys his diving and is enthusiastic about, something a lot of other diving pros lose after some years when diving with customers.

Can you dive? Go to this centre. You can't dive? Go to this centre and learn it. Don't know if you want to dive? Go to this centre to try it. You like snorkelling, dolphin watching, panorama flights (parashute), and andventures? Go to this centre.
In short, this centre is awesome, you can do a lot of interesting things, but mainly it is a dive center. All of the staff is really nice an experienced. I learned to dive there and I loved it so I took a course to get certified, it was and it is great. I don't regret I made my first steps into diving in Sub aqua dive centre Hilton Salalah.
I traveld a lot but as u can see my writing isn't so good, so i apologies for that.
Did I told you? Go to this dive centre and have fun!!

Hello Jantwan K, Nice review but you cannot have dived with SUB AQUA DiveCenter in Oman because SUB AQUA DiveCenter have not existed in Oman since May 2015. I have tried to remove this listing from TripAdvisor but so far no joy so apologies for any confusion.
I am happy you had a good time in Oman anyway!

Czy będąc w Salalah jest szansa na dobre snorkowanie? Czy będzie możliwość zakupić wycieczkę będąc w hotelu Rotana Salalah?
