The service is fine. The place is nice and clean. And its a must to take your toddler there in order to his/her reaction.Every person has his own reaction when they see the things in person

Very informative & worth visiting but...
Feb 2020
This aquarium was recommended & is full of local fishing information as well as info about south african sealife generally--in fact, there was almost too much info to take in on one go; there's a lovely walk-thru tunnel to see the huge tank with sharks, manrays & other fish indigenous to the area; I thought the lighting could have been a bit better around the other exhibits & we paid a lot more as we were 'foreigners & working' as compared to local families visiting; about 1-2 hours max visit time but well-worth it, especially if there's a bit of rain & you need some museum time!

Swakopmund Aquarium

The small modern aquarium offers unique features. It have a glass walk-through viewing tunnel and different viewing panels at different angles. The tank contains a variety of fish including spotted Sharks, Sand Shark and many more..

Fish are fed daily usually at 3:00.
The acquarium is closed on Mondays,New year's day and Christmas day.

Excellent value
Jan 2020 • Couples
It is not the biggest aquarium, but definitely good value. $30 namibian for foreigners and there are lots of local species to see. Definitely worth a visit.

Nice aquarium
Dec 2019 • Family
Of course you shouldn't expect a big aquarium... but for a city like Swakopmund it is already interesting.
There is one shark that you can observe from a tunnel or the top of the aquarium.
Kids love it. If you have small kids, you can't leave Swakopmund without having visited the aquarium!

The place is located right in town and next to the beach and a lot of restaurants.its even cheap as it costs 10 Namibian dollar per person as entrance fee.it has all the info about different sea creatures that’s very informative and interesting.there is no tour guide but I also don’t think it necessary as there are boards with information about each creature on the glass.its with a try

Swakopmund Aquarium
Nov 2019 • Couples
The only Aquarium in Swakopmund if l am not mistaken. However it does not stretch into the sea, it's built adjacent to the sea though. I enjoyed the view inside it.

Small but inexpensive
Oct 2019
The aquarium is worth visiting if you have a spare 30 mins or so when looking round Swakopmund. There is free parking right outside and the entrance fee even has a seniors discount which makes it really cheap. Be aware though they do not accept credit cards. The receptionist was a real delight and we had a fun few minutes chatting with her. The highlight is a tunnel under the largest tank with a good selection of fish etc. As others have said it has a simplistic charm that is clearly geared towards children but if you like getting up close to some interesting sea creatures it's worth a short stop.

Cute little place
Aug 2019 • Family
It is a nice aquarium; fairly small but certainly worth 45 minutes to an hour of time. There was a large tank with a tunnel going through it, which was pretty cool.
