We visited this place while walking along in George Town. It is surely a must visit. The Chew clan has their dwellings in the jetty. Nice to walk along.

A lot of celebration to pay homage to the King of God in the Chinese Hokkien culture. The jetty was also a unique place to visit.

Our guide took us to the jetty to see how the Chinese built space for homes and shops when other land was denied them. Although the area is quite commercialized now, you can still see individual homes, some of which are being turned into guest...More

Chew Jetty is a pier settlement of homes with some shops and owners selling various items at the front of the homes. There is a bench at the end of the jetty near a temple. I brought a lovely coconut milkshake from a seller about...More

No entrance fee. There’s probably a fee for the boat ride but don’t know how much.
