The bus to my accommodation was cancelled because of snow on the roads and the lovely lady at the counter helped me cancel my original booking (which was 2 hours away) and rebook at a closer hotel.

Unlike most JR tourist offices this one did not do well. Maybe just bad luck with the person we saw but very abrupt and wrong info!

The station is easy for foreigners to use. Lots of English signs and counter staff that understand english. Definitely a great way to get around the town.

But not much help using it as the helpers there had very little English. The free map though had all we needed to find out what we needed to know

This is a little information center, but people can earn information here. There are 3 staffs in the center on the day I visit there, one of them can speck english, and I asked her how can I get the train, she answered me detailly....More
