We had a banquet meal in a Chinese Restuarant in Chinatown. The service was very fast, & the food was authentic.

This is promoted as being the biggest chinatown in Asia. The reality is the action is confined to one main street at night where most of the restaurants are. It is essentially a tourist trap. For example most of the restaurants offer the same all...More

We wandered around the Chinatown area as we wanted to see what this area looked like and we found it to be quite nice. Lots of f&b places and you can surely satisfy your craving for Chinese cuisine.

The Chinatown spans over quite a wide area - we spent about 1-2 hours browsing and strolling the streets. Lots of Chinese restaurants and souvenir shops. Very crowded but there’s a bustling atmosphere to it! We went as a weekend day trip from Tokyo and...More

We did know what restaurant we were going to use as had already researched on TripAdvisor, however, the total area is just plain buzzing with excitement from large array of restaurants, and some very good speciality stores. The place really does have a positive fun...More

This is Japan's largest Chinatown and a popular day trip visit from Tokyo. There are 4 entrances to Chinatown, each with the iconic Chinese gates, painted with a different color and representing a different season. Expected are many Chinese stalls and restaurants along the few...More

I’d skip this if I had the chance. Overpriced food in a completely touristy environment. The only saving grace is it’s close to a JR station (though NOT the Shinkansen Station), so it’s easy to get to with a JR pass.

Just like in other Chinatowns around the world, Yokohama Chinatown is nothing far unique from other countries, same foods, stuff, and no souvenirs to buy here. What I liked here is only the all you can eat Chinese restaurant.

Would not recommend going on a Saturday. It was very, very crowded with young people enjoying themselves. It would probably be much more fun when it was not so crowded.
