The Old Public Hall of Hakodate Ward commands a panoramic view of Hakodate Bay. Designated as an important cultural property with magnificent main hall and rooms reserved for special guests and Imperial family. Place was rebuilt in 1914. We did not go inside, limited time.

We paid money to go into the building. Nothing much in there. Not worth spending the money and time to go in. The structure inside were rather plain and simple. Better of taking photos from the outside.
We did not enter into this building past the admission gate but really enjoyed seeing it from the outside. Admission is 500yen.
