This is a good option if you want to spend 2 good hours on/in the Red Sea. It comes at 25JD per head, and includes a buffet lunch, a cruise on Red Sea for about 2 hours, free snorkelling and a view of the sea bed via their glass-bottomed boat. The buffet lunch, which was included in the boat-cruise package, was good: sufficient quantity, quality and variety. Any alcoholic beverage is additional charge.
What was good: It was a small group, barely 20 people, so the boat was not crowded and everyone had ample space to mill around. The boat is maintained very well, is clean and had really clean towels. Though I did not snorkel, I could see that the ones who did were all happy with the equipment, which were all in good order. The boat crew was good, well-behaved guys...helpful, encouraging. Both of us can't swim, and the crew was very encouraging, and offered to help us snorkel. Even though we backed out of the offer, the overall experience was good, and ending it with some good food was awesome!
What could be better: Visibility of the underwater views -- this was a great exeprience in itself...watching the corals and underwater life, as scubadivers waved at us from beneath the boat amidst the corals. However, visibility was not excellent, since there was a LOT of reflection/direct sunlight from the windows. If they had some kind of shadeoff/curtains that can be drawn for that little time in the area where passengers sit to view the underwater marine life, it would be a great.
What needs to absolutely stop: Littering the sea! I was absolutely shocked to see the crew (and some passengers!!) throwing cigarette buds into the sea from the boat, while we stalled for snorkelling. I also saw some plastic bags floating around the boat. Red Sea is absolutely beautiful, stunning and clean. Please please please please please people - don't litter it. I would even suggest slapping fines on people who do so.
