    Adventure of a lifetime
So glad I got to do this and cross it off my bucket list. The feeling is awesome, it was scary and exciting at the same time. It was a big risk there are no safety nets or ropes. I felt the fear and did it anyway. The guides are very experienced and kind and although strange to trust someone you have just met to walk you through probably the most dangerous thing you can do. The sights I saw looking at the mighty Victoria falls is imprinted in my memory. It was magical, loved the hibiscus drink they gave us after. There’s a little shelter and they bring you drinks and finger food after. To Lloyd and his team it was amazing 🤩

    Fantastic experience
Fantastic experience but expensive. Experience of a life time read about it before you go. No need to take a towel as these are handed out. Shoes to walk over rocks helpful and can be hired there. We went bare feet and it was okay. The hardest part was actually swimming against current. If you are a non or weak swimmer tell the guide as they have work arounds. Out at the edge the guides hold your feet. One takes heaps of photos with your own phone. You travel in a short boat ride to get there. Amazing and thoroughly recommend.

Facing a fear with fish at the falls!
This was an exceptional day. The guides are extremely safety focused and have well tested systems in place. It’s exhilarating and terrifying at the same time. Be aware that there are fish that nibble your legs. They don’t hurt but it’s a bit of a surprise so just keep your legs moving! 😂. The brunch afterwards was wonderful with a lovely view.

    Terrifying and exhilarating!
We saw the pool from across the falls at the Victoria Falls Park which is a must see when traveling to this area. I almost chickened out but was encouraged by my travel buddies to continue. The cost of the trip to Devil's pool is steep with an extra fee to cross the border into Zambia which is in addition to the visa required in advance but it is so worth it. It is very organized with towel service and water shoes if you don't have your own. We were a group of 6 and after walking across a shoulder deep pool we arrived on the rocks surrounding the pool. Our guides "Alpha Omega" and "Rhino" were very calm and explained things very carefully so we felt very safe. They take all the photos so you can focus on the experience. Afterwards, we went for the lunch tour and were amazed at the 3 course gourmet lunch served on Livingstone Island . The chef was even prepared for our vegan travelers!

    Just do it!
I’m no adrenaline junkie. In fact more middle aged arm chair dweller. Loved it! There was even an 80 year old doing it. Few reviews mention the fish! It’s like a foot spa-but for the entire body! Not at any point did I feel unsafe. The best advice I can give you is don’t look down until you have finished the fun! Food was great too. Only faff was crossing from Zimbabwe. But it’s one of life’s experiences!! Don’t miss it. Embrace it.

    Once in a lifetime experience!
Be prepared to do a bit of swimming in the current and put up with some rather aggressive small fish once you arrive in the Devil's Pool, but it's worth every minute of the adrenaline rush and all the tiny fish bites. The lifeguard did a great job of making us feel relatively safe despite swimming through fairly strong current and hanging off the edge of a waterfall. I'd recommend taking them up on their offer of water shoes if you don't have your own, as portions of the rocks on the way out are rather sharp.

    Not for the faint hearted
Devils pool is definitely one for adrenaline junkies! I wouldn’t recommend young children are taken on this experience. My daughter is 11 years old and the current is far too strong for anyone but a strong swimmer. The boat ride to Livingstone Island was great. The experience itself is unbelievable, and the gourmet lunch was incredible. Highly recommend

It is insane to me that this is allowed. It’s easy to forget that outside the western world there just are not the same sorts of rules and regulations in place to keep you safe. No ropes attached to you, no safety net, just two guides (who wear flotation devices but don’t provide them for guests??) for a group of up to 10 guests!!!! Their suggestion to combat the rapids? Hold hands with your neighbour and remove any loose shoes. That’s it!

Terrifying and the stupidest thing I have ever done. BE WARNED. It’s unbeleivable that there are no “reported” deaths.

It was definitely a little scary, not quite sure it was safe, but definitely a memory of a lifetime. I’m glad I took the plunge. There are attendants to assist you in and out of the water. As others mentioned the fish bites are frequent and water shoes are helpful as it’s rocky. Strong swimming skills aren’t necessary as you are assisted along the way.

Had to do the devils pool when we visited Victoria Falls. Check the reviews on trip advisor and shop them...they ALL do the same thing at different prices!! You take a boat ride up the river to get to the devils pool. Then you wade, swim across the river and walk to the pool. Take water shoes or old tennis shoes for this adventure due to rocks in the river. Very safe adventure and super guides!! Breakfast/lunch provided after your adventure. Pictures don't do this justice...the view looking down and seeing the rainbows in the falls was AMAZING!! Small groups of 8 people per adventure!!
