This is one of the things you have to do if given the chance. Definitely one of the highlights of my stay in Zambia.

It's such a cool experience. Go from the Zambia side if you can and you can walk along the top of the falls before you arrive.

Your going get soaked...just live with it and bring a Kagool as the rental ones are not cleaned very often and then must be worn by a hundred sweating tourists a day at least.

Lovely walk 15 mins down 30 mins back. Steep, uneven but worth it if you have time. Enjoyed watching the baboons. Don`t go near, very vicious.

Such an amazing experience! You definitely want to go first thing in the morning so you get to experience the beautiful rainbow the mist creates.

Hi there I will be going to the devils pool in October. Is there any better time of the day to have rainbows or is that just complete luck? Thanks :)

There is always a rainbow when looking towards Zimbabwe side from Devil's Pool, like the pictures you search on google. I think anytime in day time is good. Not sure in the evening.

Does this seem feasible: Arriving in Zambia by plane at 12h30, taking the 3h30 tour to Devils pool, and after the tour going to Zimbabwe for our overnight accommodations? If so, we will need a place to store our luggage for the duration of the tour, any ideas where it would be safe and convenient to do so? We have enquired at the Royal Livingstone hotel since that's where the tour starts but we're still waiting for an answer. Would we also be able to leave our bags at the airport during the tour? Thank you!

No the devils pool is on the Zambian side and operates out of the royal Livingston hotel. You do not have to be a guest to go to the deviled pool. The Victoria falls walking tour is on the Zimbabwe side and is well worth it... More
