Overview
More
A unique activity that you won't find anywhere else in Africa. We offer an unconventional and fun way to explore the world’s oldest populated continent: some of these gigantic baobab trees, scattered over the arid lands to the south of Sahara, may have witnessed the migrations of Bantu peoples around 3,000 years ago! The price of the Baobab Climbing Adventure is USD 50, which includes: - Pick-up and drop-off at the agreed location in Livingstone - Visit to the oldest (1,000 years) baobab tree in Livingstone - The history of the baobab, known as the Tree of Life in Africa, delivered to you by the local guide - Climbing a 800-year old baobab tree with professional equipment that guarantees safety both for you and the tree - HD digital photos of your climbing session - Soft drinks and home-made vegetarian snacks (including a traditional Zambian chikanda) - Optional: visit to a curio market in a village where you can get a better deal on souvenirs or exchange your old stuff

The tour was fun… I’ve never done any climbing before, so I could’t make it to the top of the tree :-DD Got some cool pics though (free HD photos are included) and learned a lot about baobab trees. Another perk was a drink made...More

I did the extended version of the tour with an excursion to a traditional village and I didn’t regret it 🙂 This village (called Mukuni village) is located about 10 km from Livingstone and you can’t really get there by public transport on your own....More

The Treema experience was simply amazing, from the beginning to the end. The guides picked us up at our hostel in the early morning and we left towards the Baobab, which is located out of town. On the way, we visited a typical local market...More
