The amphitheater is definitely stunning and there is a lot to see here. You cannot go all the way down to the stage at present, but you can get down to about halfway down the stands and that is close enough for a good view. When we got to this spot, I initially thought this was all there was to see in Heiropolis and I was dead wrong. Definitely go beyond the amphitheater and check out the martyrium of St. Philip and the remains of the agora. Signage is not great, but this site is much bigger than it looks at first.…

Took a tour for this Heritage site and it was one of the greatest places I have seen. It is very well taken care. There are guides outside if you need one and I recommend hiring one if you are not with a group. You can spend some time at the Cleopatra’s pool and enjoy the thermal water.…

Roman amphitheatre is definitely a highlight. Keep going towards the North to find some great roman streets with columns on each side. The site is pretty big so walking takes a pretty long time so budget that out.
