Kaleici
About
Dating back to Roman times, Antalya’s seafront historic core contains many of the city's must-sees. Following extensive renovations, the district of Kaleici now boasts several hotels, restaurants and shops. Take a stroll down the area’s narrow streets and spot ancient mosques along the way, as well as tons of bars and cafes where you can try local cuisine. Load up on souvenirs from the shops, then head off to the pier for fantastic views of the harbor. You might want to join a historic tour to learn more about the major points of interest in Kaleici such as Hadrian's Gate. – Tripadvisor

    Visit with kids
The old harbour is named Kaleici in Antalya city. Part of the old city with Shops, restaurants and especially pirat boats which makes shorter or longer trips can be a great experience with Kids. Nice view from the restaurants on top, chose those to admire the marina. There is an elevator/ asansör which Takes you down to pirat boats. Walk in the old Town to see the Yivliminare mosque's minaret= symbol of Antalya

    Lovely Marina to explore
Very nice area to walk around by the waterfront, lots Restaurants to enjoy can be a little annoying with being pestered to buy something or dine in there venue. Also very nice at nighttime so would recommend going during day and night as well, love waterfronts at night times with the atmosphere and lights etc. Certainly a main area that should be visited when in Antalya.

Kaleici, the old town of Antalya.
Loved Kaleici. Magical, quaint town with lots of character. I loved all the little shops, restaurants and cobble, winding streets. Lots of walking. Streets buzzing until after 12pm. Not easy to access with a car so taxis usually park at the nearest main road and you have to walk the winding paths to the shops/hotels. Our hotel was situated on top of a restaurant, so our transfer driver had to drive to the hotel for drop offs but Not without frustration of mastering the narrow roads. I will certainly go back to Kaleici!

    Enjoyable day trip
Visited this old town with lots of touristy shops and restaurants. There's an old harbour that dates back to Roman times with loads of boats docked offering tours. The sellers can be very vigorous at trying to get you to buy. My husband who's not even a herbal tea drinker ended up buying 400g of loose lemon zaffron tea at £25 gbp. 😅 But the best bit was we ended up buying a small rug at £330 gbp. Now we still dont know how we are going to take it home. 😆 Overall an enjoyable day trip. Cost of taxi from Akra Hotel was 200 Lira each way.

A peaceful gem away from the hub-hub of the busy city
Antalya is a busy, busy, noisy city but surprisingly, Kaleici, it's old centre, is a peaceful gem. Wandering round the mansion houses (some of which are still occupied by residents, while others are boutiques, restaurants, etc), you can really cut yourself off from the busy hub-hub outside and spend a good hour drinking in the peace and quiet. Eventually, you will find yourself at the harbour and you can then either retrace your steps or take a risky elevator back up to the main square

They think being a tourist gives them right to steal you, they think tourists are ATM banks, the old town is nice but the quality of products in the market is bad, the food is normal and the prices are extremely exaggerated, some one literally asked for money to let me throw the trash in the garbage.. very unpleasant experience that made me forget soon the nice views around, would never go back nor advise anyone to visit it.

A fabulous place, saturated with the spirit of antiquity, but not devoid of a touch of civilization!

Good to visit this town and take in the atmosphere. Parking available in the area for 40lira. Antalya Bazaar, fake handbag shops and lots of cash machines!
