Stunning detail on this building. I think the local artists are now trying to outdo each other! Don't try this if feeling unfit...it's a walk and a climb. It's worth it, but be prepared!

You must stop here. The temple is a little eclipsed by the big Buddha. But the temple is absolutely incredible. The is by far the most beautiful Buddhist temple I have every seen. Far superior to Wat Rong Khun.

On the way home from dinner in Chiangrai, unplanned we decided to stop by. Lots of worshipers, just sight seeing and you can go up inside the Buddha everything else is free here.

This is a nice place with a good vibe. Well worth the effort to go. Free Lunch provided and well organised. Child friendly but not a great place for elderly (too many hills and stairs). Beautiful scenery and cool breezes surround this place.

Once you get there you're impressed with the scale of the the Temple and the size of Guan Yin statue. At the same time the place has the unique atmosphere of peace and calm. You walk around and involuntarily smile. You don't want to hurry....More

If you’re in Chiang Rai do not miss this temple. It has to be one of my favourites. I found it very peaceful. Inside the big Buddha (which isn’t actually a Buddha) you go up an elevator to witness incredible views of the surrounding area....More
