While arranging your safari, Troy and his team listen carefully to your wishes, propose a beautiful trip, respond quickly and offer and arrange alternatives while maintaining a high quality. We only booked three weeks in advance and had a perfect journey to Kenya. I'm looking forward to our next trip in the future!

Just back from a fantastic 10 days in Kenya's Masai Mara and Ol Pejeta Conservancy – our long overdue trip since April 2020. We had to reschedule twice, due to the pandemic and on our fourth attempt we finally managed to be back in the Mara once again. This time we split our stay – 3 nights at Ol Pejeta (Ol Pejeta Bush Camp) and 6 nights at Mara (3 nights each at Encounter Mara and Mara Bush House, Acacia House). My association with Troy and TrueAfrica goes back to November, 2019 when I first reached out to Asilia and they got me connected; and since then it had been a wonderful journey. Multiple email exchanges and phone call in the initial days to get the right itinerary, the right lodges, considering travelling with young children. TrueAfrica was quick to establish the trust and confidence, that has been the key - the team had been very patient in explaining everything and carefully planning and sharing every step. When the pandemic hit, and all travel stopped the uncertainty loomed large. It’s not just about the disappointment of the trip not materializing that you have been dreaming about, but also the money, moving agendas -- Troy promptly stepped in to assure about the security on putting the trip-on-hold. We had to move it out twice and each time got an extension of 1 year. Everything was fully flexible, recommendations were great (during our 2 years’ waiting, we need to change camps given one of them closed down), and the conversations at all times were very friendly and relaxed. The team behind the scenes worked with Asilia on the ever-changing schedule, each time with changed logistics. We were super happy that Asilia and TrueAfrica were able to secure the same guide for us when we visited Masai Mara 5 years back; it was amazing to get reunited. Finally, given my experience travelling to East Africa, I couldn’t have asked for a better competitive rate than what Troy secured. In summary, I would say “flawless planning and execution”. Thank you very much, Troy and TrueAfrica for making our trip so memorable.

Just back from a fantastic five days in Kenya's Masai Mara - apart from being very fortunate with some spectacular wildlife on the drives thanks to good fortune and great guides, this was a simply wonderful experience from start to finish. You could tell from the initial contact with Troy at True Africa that everything would be meticulous and efficiently prepared with our needs (family with two children aged 5/7) at the forefront of the organisation. We stayed in two different places - a house in the bush and the &Beyond camp at Kichwa Tembo - providing two wonderfully different experiences that were enjoyed by the whole family. Everything was fully flexible to our needs (or rather the children's needs) and that made for relaxed and happy parents! While the game drives were the obvious focus, equally important was being able to stay in well equipped and staffed accommodation that took pleasure in hosting us, and where nothing was too much trouble. We know we will be back to organise the next one with Troy and team! Thank you.
