My wife and I went with Suricata Safari, it was perfect experience and we loved it. All Suricata staff were great and well organised our trip, they were very punctual. Kelvin the driver was waiting for us at the airport took us to hotel. The hotel and hotel great too. All Tuleep and Dennis came and explained to us the steps very clearly. The guide Mbwana was excellent very knowledgeable person he showed us lots of animals great driver the best guide I ever seen. The chef Inocent was great cook and was with all time making lots of great food for us. We were to fly to Dar El Salam the night we finish our Safari, our flight delayed about 7 hours. Dennis at Suricata provided us a place at the hotel to rest until the driver rook us to the airport. I highly recommend Suricata Safari and you will enjoy the life time of safari in Tanzania

I highly recommend Ezekiel. He is both friendly and knowledgeable. I felt like I was on tour with a zoologist. Ezekiel provides fascinating facts about Tanzania, its culture and its people. He provides outstanding customer service and is thoughtfully attuned to the comfort of his tour group. I would highly recommend him to friends, family and colleagues! By the end of the tour I felt like I made new friends from around the world.
Suricata goes above and beyond to curate an experience. The lodge in the Serengeti has spectacular sunsets and feels like a high end hotel or “glamping.” We saw the “Big Five” during our safari, which was great. The prices are competitive and this once in a lifetime experience is well worth the money.

I had the pleasure of touring Arusha, Tanzania, with two exceptional guides. Daniel, who showed me around the city, and Thomas, who guided me through the market, both made my experience unforgettable. Daniel provided insightful tips and shared fascinating cultural history about Arusha, making the city come alive. Thomas was equally knowledgeable and gave me a deeper understanding of the local market culture. Both were incredibly welcoming and made me feel at ease throughout the tour. Amazing experience hiking from base camp to Mt. Meru summit and back down with Fred and his fantastic team.
Fred’s experience of the mountain and the rest of the team’s incredible hard work helped make our trip a memorable and once in a lifetime experience.
The porters do an unbelievable job carrying so much weight up the mountain and make it look easy.
The chef was also great, we both have difficult dietary requirements and he made us something new every meal that catered to our needs.
We made it to the summit for sunrise, after setting off from camp at 2am (a truly unique experience), and back down in one (exhausted) piece.
Would highly recommend Suricata Safaris for your Mt. Meru adventure.

We hiked Kilimanjaro on the Machame route for six days. The crew with guide Fred and assistant Alfonsi was amazing. So friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Not only did we have an amazing hike but we also learned a lot about Tanzania and the mountain Kilimanjaro as well as a few Swahili words. Our highlights were singing with the crew after we came back from the summit in the morning, the whole organization (you don’t need to worry about a thing) and the food. Especially starting every day early by Fred’s recommendation allowed us to hike in great weather and have a lot of time to relax in the afternoon.
Maybe bring a book or game for the afternoon but also don’t overpack - your porters will appreciate it. We had one 50l backpack for 2 people + 2 daybags
Be prepared for a physically and mentally challenging hike to Stella point (the top before you hike the crater rim to Uhuru peak). Fred and Alfonsi helped us a lot getting up there, carrying my bag when I was feeling the altitude, keeping a good pace (Pole Pole) and motivating us to get to the top (Hakuna Matata). We can strongly recommend Suricata Safari as well as Fred and Alfonsi.

We went on a 5-day safari with Suricata through the national parks of Tarangire, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro crater. We relied on the experiences and experiences of other travelers and were not disappointed. Suricata Safaris makes a lot of effort to offer a good service, immediately respond to inquiries by mail, phone or WhatsApp and respond to any special request. The accommodation during the tour was in really very beautiful lodges (Suricata Boma Lodge, Sound of Silence Lodge and Angata Lodge). The price-performance ratio was therefore excellent. I would especially like to mention our guide Fredy. He really knew everything about nature and animals, knew all the roads and places we habe been excellently and also told us a lot about the country of Tanzania and the people who live there. We always felt safe, which is not self-evident in the traffic and road conditions in Tanzania. Suricata is really recommended!!

We had a great safari experience with Suricata. On the first day we were picked up from our previous accommodation in the morning and taken to a comfortable hotel booked by Suricata. We were able to spend the rest of the day on a half day trip to the Kikuletwa Hotsprings, for which our Suricata agent organized a driver for us within minutes. The safari itself started the next morning at around 7:30 am. We picked up two other guests and our cook. On the way to Serengeti we drove through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where we stopped at a viewpoint on the crater rand and were able to take photos of the entire crater. At the gateway to the Serengeti, we were served our first meal, which was a particularly positive experience. Our cook provided us with hot lunches and dinners and very tasty breakfasts throughout the trip and even baked a cake - it is still a mystery to us how he managed to do this on campsites with the simplest of utensils. The food was definitely one of our highlights on the safari. Other safari groups often only received packed lunch boxes, as we were able to observe from time to time. In the Serengeti and later in the Ngorongoro Crater we had enough time on the game drives to observe several groups of lions, a cheetah, two rhinos, dozens of elephants and giraffes as well as countless wildebeests, antelopes and gazelles. The entire tour was done in a Toyota Landcruiser with an openable roof and was well organized all-around.
After the tour, we were booked into a hotel by Suricata for another night, where a Suricata agent was already waiting for us for a feedback talk. The only thing left for the next morning was our transfer to the next accommodation (or alternatively to the airport), which, like the first transfer, was included in the tour price.

We opted for the 4-day tent tour passing the 4 main parks of Tanzania!
It was all great, starting from the pre-tour organization, the transport to and from the airport and the four days inside the parks!
Our Guide Amir has eyes everywhere, while driving excellently (despite the road conditions 😂) he could see and recognize any animal! Our chef James (nicknamed CHEF DELICIOUS) has prepared fantastic meals!
The machines used during the Safari were all in perfect condition and kept with maniacal care!
For an unforgettable Safari rely on them!

We would like to share our impressions of the Safari! Everything was organized at a very good level. We were met on time and brought to a good hotel the day before the safari. That day, Daniel (a representative of Suricata Safaris) met with us and answered all our questions. The next day, a jeep came for us in the morning and we set off on a journey. During the entire trip, everything was always on time, without delays. Our driver-guide Golden made our safari wonderful. He told interesting stories about the animals, he drove up to the most interesting places in the savannah. As a result, in three days in the Serengeti and Ngoro-Ngoro parks, we saw all the animals one could only dream of. Good conditions in the campsites, excellent meals all days. Special thanks to the chef Tito for delicious wonderful dishes. We definitely recommend Suricata Safari! They are very reliable and hard-working guys!

Suricata Safari's was absolutely amazing! The amount of animals and action we saw was so memorable ♥️ Damon our guide was very knowledgeable of the animals and the areas they might appear. We witness all 5 game animals over the course of the 5 day tour which is extremely rare but was possible thanks to Suricata Safari's. Daniel did an outstanding job as well preparing and organizing the tour briefings before and after the tour. Tito our personal chef made delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day and always changed it up! All in all the team for Suricata Safari's is #1 in my book and I would happily recommend them to anyone wanting to go on a Safari adventure in the near future. Thank you!

Soft bags are best as they need to fit in the back of the jeep. The guides are very good at organising luggage but soft bags are definitely much better.

Hello! I will be going on a 3 day safari in the beginning of May. Should I bring warm clothes for the night and also for the day? I read the temps are in the 60's (F) during the day and 50's at night, which seems a bit chilly. Does anyone have any advise?

Hi. My brother and I shared a tent. It was quite basic, but sturdy and had plenty of room for two. We slept in sleeping bags on mats and were comfortable and we're both in our sixties. We found the tents completely satisfactory and really all we needed after a long day on safari. I didn't see the lodges, so I can't comment on them. By the way, Suricata Safaris is a great choice - we were just delighted with every aspect of our trip with them. Have a great time!

We recommend Tarangire for a vast “Elephant experience”.
Actually we find elephants in all parks and it’s always a gratifying experience to see them moving around.
