Quiet, friendly neighborhood temple
May 2014 • Solo
I was greeted here by the resident monk, who did not speak much English but was very willing to share tea and chat, anyway. This temple seems more like a typical neighborhood church, with volunteers coming in and out to help prepare for the upcoming Buddha's Birthday celebration and located in a residential area with the mountains to the west of Daejeon as a backdrop.

I enjoyed my visit very much, but it is perhaps not for everyone.

you can't compare this temple with other temples in Korea.. it's a smaller scale temple, but pretty unique. visit if you only have some spare time.

Temple with a rare form
May 2013 • Solo
C1 ( 2013.05.31 )
There was a temple with a rare form. Generally temples were built of several separate buildings. But there was all gathered in one building. While visiting the temple I did not see anyone. Nothing around, no place is too remote. There was not enough called attraction.
